Where is the hotel located?

In order to find where your hotel is located, go to the top of the Quitalia page and click on the “Show Map” button. There you’ll see the exact location of the hotel with a tag to identify it.

Where can I find the hotel’s address?

The address of the hotel can be found at the top of the page on the hotel’s profile on Quitalia. You can also find it in the confirmation email you received after you booked.

Where can I find the telephone number, email, or other contact information of the hotel?

Any and all hotel contact information should be in both the confirmation email and the confirmation page after the hotel is booked.

Where can I find the rates of the hotel room?

The rates will be visible after you have specified the dates you’re interested in. Also included will be associated rates with room type.

Is there a way to find a hotel room large enough for my family?

Once you’ve entered in your destination, you can also enter in the number of people travelling with your party. Only hotels that can match those requirements will be displayed.

Can I search for hotels with amenities/features I want, like Wi-Fi access or a hot tub?

Once you’ve chosen your destination and entered in the dates you plan to stay, you’ll see a list of hotels. When viewing the list, you can click the filter option on the left and filter by categories that interest you. There you’ll find hotels that suit your needs.

Can I find hotels that cater to the disabled?

Once you’ve chosen your destination and entered in the dates you plan to stay, you’ll see a list of hotels. On the left side there is a filter box. At the filter box you will find an option for “Facilities”. You can click on the option that searches for facilities for the disabled, and your search will be narrowed down to facilities with those options. It’s always a good idea to contact us to find out if there are going to be rooms available for those with a disability before you book.

Can I have extra beds in the room for my children?

Some hotels allow beds and cribs to be added upon request, but this depends primarily on the hotel and whether the items are available. You’re welcome to contact us first and we’ll find out if those items are available.

How does a double room differ from a twin room?

Room terminology is often based on the types of bed used. Twin rooms have two twin sized single beds, while a double room has one double bed. You may also see “double/twin” which indicates that you can decide which room you prefer within the special request box you fill out while booking.

What’s included in the price of the room?

Any and all information provided under the room type is included in the room price unless otherwise noted. You can see these by reading the “Room Facilities”. You can find out other information about terms (such as if taxes are included) by reading the “Hotel Facilities” paragraph, as well as your confirmation email.

Are the rates shown on Quitalia per person or per room?

All rates are for the entire room and represent the length of your entire stay unless noted within the description.

Are taxes included?

Some hotels include taxes in their room rates, some hotels don’t. Some are based on the hotel’s policy while others are based on the location of the hotel. You can see these by reading the “Hotel Facilities” paragraph or your confirmation email.

Does the price include breakfast?

Each hotel has its own policy. To find out if breakfast is included, read the “Hotel Policies” paragraph and find out what the hotel offers and what’s included in the price. You can also find out this information on your confirmation email.

Does Quitalia charge a reservation fee?

No. This service is completely free.

Is it possible to make a reservation without a credit card?

No. Credit cards are necessary to ensure that you’re able to pay for your reservation and to verify your identity.

Is it possible to make a reservation with someone else’s credit card?

Only some hotels will allow you to use a credit card with a name other than the name on the reservation. Check with the hotel for approval. Without approval your reservation will be pending.

Why are my credit card details needed?

Quitalia needs to be able to confirm your reservation with the hotel. This is possible by pre-authorizing your credit card to ensure funds are available and that the credit card is working properly. However, once the booking has been made, the full amount will be made available to you again. Hotels will only charge your card if it’s for a pre-paid room or if there’s a policy that requires an early charge.

What credit cards are accepted?

Quitalia accepts Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. Other credit cards may be accepted by the hotels. Check during the booking process to see if others are accepted.

Will you keep my credit card safe?

Quitalia uses a variety of precautions to prevent unauthorized access to your credit card information, including encryption on an SSL secure server.

Once I enter in my credit card information, when are the funds withdrawn?

Different hotels have different policies. Some charge your credit card during your stay, some charge near the cancellation date. Others may charge you in advance when you accept a special offer in order to reserve your room. In any case, you will be notified regarding the precise charge date in the confirmation email.

Do I need to make a deposit with the hotel before my stay?

The vast majority of hotels do not need a deposit. But there are some hotels that do require a deposit – especially when it comes to special offers. Review the policies of the hotel in the hotel profile page, or take a look at your confirmation email if you have already booked a room.

Can I pay with a different credit card after my stay has come to an end?

Most hotels do accept an alternate form of payment when the stay is over. However, you may want to check with the hotel first.

Can I make a special request for a type of room or item inside of the room?

There is an option to include special requests when you’re booking the room, and most hotels will try to accommodate your request. However, you’ll need to check with the hotel after the reservation is made to ensure they are in fact able to accommodate it. For example, if you ask for a room with a view of the beach, it may not be possible in all hotels.

Is it possible to make a group reservation?

Making a group reservation is possible for most hotels. Contact us to make such a reservation.

I’ll be unable to make it by the check in time. What happens?

If you’re going to be at your hotel either earlier or later than your scheduled check in time, most hotels will be able to accommodate you. However, you can also fill out a special request to notify the hotel of your preferred time of arrival, and you can contact the hotel after you’ve booked a room to make sure that they’re available at the time you plan to arrive.

What do “check in” and “check out” times refer to?

Check in and check out times at a hotel refer to the time you are expected to arrive by and the time you are expected to leave. Each hotel has their own check in and check out times. Look at the policy section on the hotel profile page to learn more. This information will also be in your confirmation email.

Can I check out later than the official check out time?

If you want to check out at a later time than the official check out time you need to discuss this with the hotel. Hotels choose their check out time for a reason, so it may not be possible. However, the hotel may be able to make an exception for you. You should look into this issue at the time of arrival, at the reception desk.

Why can’t I get a smoking room?

Some hotels don’t have smoking rooms, so if you can’t find the option available, it’s because the hotel forbids smoking in their rooms.

Does the hotel allow pets?

You can find out the hotel’s pet policies on the “Hotel Policy” section in the hotel profile page.

How can I confirm my reservation?

You’ll receive a confirmation notice as soon as you complete the booking process, and receive an email with all of your reservation details.

What happens if I did not receive a confirmation email?

Sometimes your confirmation email ends up in your spam folder. If you haven’t received the confirmation email after a number of minutes, you can access all of the same information in your My Quitalia page. You can also email us if you need additional assistance.

What is the My Quitalia Page?

My Quitalia, easily accessed from the top right hand side of the Quitalia website, is a page designed to help you with your reservation. It contains information about your reservations and can help you cancel or change them. It also has all of the information contained in your confirmation emails.

Am I guaranteed to receive the facilities listed with the room I booked?

Yes, the facilities are guaranteed by the hotel if they are listed under your room type.

Is it possible to change or cancel my reservation?

Yes. Go to your My Quitalia page and find information on how to cancel or change your reservation. However, remember that each hotel has its own cancellation policies, and – while uncommon – some hotels have non-refundable rooms. You can find this information under the “Conditions” column of the hotel profile page.

Do I have to pay a cancellation fee?

Some hotels have cancellation fees. You can find out these fees in the Hotel Policy section of the hotel profile page. Non-refundable rooms and special deals may have different policies.

Where is the hotel’s cancellation policy?

If you view the room information there will be a column called “Conditions” that lists all cancellation information. You can also find information in the confirmation email.

Is it possible to change or cancel a non-refundable reservation?

No, unfortunately the low rates are based on the room and dates of your stay. Check the hotel’s cancellation policy for more information.

How do I find out about hotel parking?

You can find out about parking under “Hotel Facilities” in the hotel profile page. If the hotel indicates you need to reserve a parking spot, call the hotel directly to make the parking reservation. Quitalia does not handle parking reservations. You can find the hotel’s contact information on the hotel profile page.

Is there a way to find out if the hotel has certain items or activities available?

You can see everything that’s included in your hotel room under “Hotel Facilities” on the hotel profile page. If you need something specific, contact the hotel directly after you’ve made a reservation.

How do I write a review for the hotel?

Once your stay is over, we’ll send you an invitation to fill out a survey that allows you to share your experiences. Once we receive your response, we’ll post it online anonymously. On occasion it may be one or two days before the review is posted.

Will Quitalia edit or alter my review?

We do check to make sure you don’t post any words we can’t share on our website (we want our website to be friendly for all ages) but otherwise we will post all reviews sent to us.

Will Quitalia write or affect what reviews show for each hotel?

No. All reviews on Quitalia are written by real people, and we do not remove or edit reviews to create biases in favor or against any hotel.

How can I find a fish restaurant in my travel destination?

Choose the “What to Eat” category in the upper navigation menu. In the search field on the upper left side you can choose your city. Once you receive the general restaurant list, choose the type of restaurant you’re interested in from the filter toolbar found on the left side of the page.

Is it possible to contact a business on Quitalia?

You can find contact information for most businesses on their business profile page. You’ll see a window open, and from there you can enter in the details that will be passed to the business you’re hoping to contact. If contact information is listed you can also get in touch with them directly.

I’d like to recommend a new restaurant for the Quitalia list. What should I do?

Is there a way to get travel recommendations for things to do at my destination?

Yes. Quitalia has a “What to do” category. You can look at the drop down menu and search for “Tourist Attractions”. In the search field, found in the upper left side of the page, choose the city you’re interested in and click the search button.

Can I find out about extreme sports opportunities in the area?

Yes. You can go to the “What to Do” category and look for “Sports” in the drop down menu. From there you will be directed to relevant options.

Is it possible to find guides, including guides who speak a certain language, in the area?

Yes. You can select the “Find your Guide” category, select the city you plan to visit, and search for the guide you require. You’ll see a list of available guides and you can filter by language.

Is it possible to find courses and classes?

Yes. You can select the “What to Do” category, select the city you’re interested in visiting, and select the subcategory of “Courses”. You’ll be able to find a variety of courses available in your area.
